The Railway Hotel Jamestown – a Jamestown Institution for over 139 years
The Railway Hotel Jamestown was officially licensed in 1878 by W.C.Voight, only a few years after the township of Jamestown was officially founded by Governor Sir James Fergusson.
Over the years, countless locals and visitors have enjoyed countless cold ales and no doubt lots of yarns in the front bar, whilst enjoying a great pub meal, which the hotel has always had a reputation for.
Current Licensees Shelley Woolford and Rob McKenzie have been running the Hotel for over 10 years now.
You will often find Shelley in the kitchen “cooking up a storm” to provide a range of delicious dishes that are sure to please.
Rob feels more comfortable “holding up the bar” and enjoys many a conversation with locals and visitors alike.
