The Jamestown Show is back again on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd October of the Long Weekend. After a record crowd of over 8,000 people in 2022, we hope to do it all again.

The theme for the 147th show is Make it, bake it, grow it, show it. A simple but beautiful theme that encompasses everything that is good about a country show. A celebration of local community gathering to show what they can make, bake, or grow. No matter how old or young you are, there is a section at this year’s show suited for everyone to enter. Check out the sections and enter online at www.jamestownshow.com.au.

The wonderful displays of handmade and homegrown entries in the Stacey Pavilion delight the many show goers who venture through. Bundle the kids up in the car for some amazing free fun from Animals Anonymous, Cool 4 Kids, Rainbow Animal Farm, face painting, indoor jumping castles, hay bale maze and a sand pit. Test your brick building skills in the Lego Challenge, but make sure you enter early, as its popular. Head to the Big Shed to view local fashions at one of our Fashion Parades, do some shopping with our stallholders and learn more about community issues being discussed at the Ag Q&A on the Monday afternoon.

A large range of animals will be on display with horses in action on the main oval, poultry and pigeons in the new pavilion, cattle on display including the new Commercial Heifer Pairs Competition and a large range of sheep and wool from both studs and commercial businesses. Shearing competitions run on both days of the show. If livestock isn’t your thing, then Animals Anonymous will give you all a chance to get up close and personal to some scaley, creepy and furry critters.

Get a little excitement in your life, head to sideshow alley for thrilling rides and sideshows, show bags and some delicious show treats. Tasty food vendors will be scattered around the showgrounds.

Test your skills as a Balco sheaf tosser or test your strength as a Kelly Toyota Ute Puller, some great fun for the Sunday evening celebrations near the Round House before the sensational WSB Distributors fireworks display. The evening caps off with live entertainment from Caitlin Drew at the Round House.
